A group of some 30 youngsters from the Yayasan Chow Kit (YCK) Foundation received their first round of COVID-19 vaccinations recently, thanks to the support of the OMESTI Group Anaho Foundation.
YCK is a non-profit organisation that caters to the needs of children and teenagers in and around the Chow Kit area of Kuala Lumpur. It runs various learning and development programmes, as well as drop-in facilities for young children in need.
The vaccinations were administered quickly and efficiently, using the Sinovac vaccine, by Dr Ong Siau Ying and her team at the True-Care Clinic in Eco City Mall, Kuala Lumpur. True-Care is one of OMESTI Healthcare’s partner clinics for the rollout of the Group’s COVID-19 Vaccin8 Programme. The YCK youngsters will receive their second dose of the vaccine after the recommended 28 days interval.
OMESTI Healthcare became one of the first private organisations to become involved in the national vaccination drive earlier this year, following the launch of its Vaccin8 Programme. With a nationwide network of medical partners, it has since provided the Sinovac vaccine to recipients from a wide range of organisations across the country, helping them to protect their workforce and business. The Group is currently gearing up to provide booster shots for its customers to ensure greater protection against the COVID-19 virus which is still very much at large in the community.
